Duarte’s interest in osteopathy began long before he even knew the word for it! Years of competitive soccer – and the myriad of injuries that came with it – taught him how quickly the body can lose balance, and how powerful the right guidance can be in bringing it back. Those early experiences stayed with him. They shaped the way he sees movement, strain, and resilience in every client he works with today.

Before training in osteopathy, Duarte spent more than a decade working as a clinical exercise physiologist across hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, gyms, occupational, and home settings. Those environments sharpened his eye for detail: the way someone stands from a chair, the hesitation in a first step, the quiet compensations the body makes when something isn’t right. He carries that perspective into every session.

His formal osteopathic studies deepened this foundation, giving him a broader lens to understand the musculoskeletal, visceral, and nervous-system interactions that influence how we move and heal. But what clients tend to remember most is his steady, attentive approach – the sense that their story is being understood.

Duarte believes the real work of treatment goes beyond easing discomfort. It’s about helping clients rediscover a better way of moving, so their bodies feel capable, not fragile. Education, hands-on care, and clear biomechanical insights all have a place in his practice.

Outside the clinic, he stays curious in his study of the health sciences, putters in his garden, and dedicates time to his wife and daughter – the balance that keeps his work grounded and meaningful.
